The ending was a happily ever after but the overall story was not what I expected. It was more abrupt and should have been a good slow burn. The romance was okay even though it was the couple I wanted to be together. I wanted to see more of what he can do and see how powerful he is. In book one, he was described all mighty, feared one kind of like Rhys but honestly we didn’t see much of what he can do. I do have to say that I wish Finn’s character was written differently. The same side characters are back and I still loved them and hate those who we are suppose to hate. Her development was well done and I enjoyed how her story ended. I love how strong she is and is still discovering herself when she got landed in the fae land. So this book is still in Brie’s pov and I still enjoy her character. As the pacing was off, the story could have lasted longer than it did in my opinion. As much as I was hooked onto the story, I do have to say that I was expecting the story to go somewhere else. Though I have to say that the pacing was off for this one and not to my liking. Ryan has an incredible writing style to make sure her readers are hooked onto the page. The writing style was still the same in the sense of the world building and the story line.
Review: This book picks right up from the first one which I absolutely loved but this one I have to say it kind of disappointed me a little. She is happiest when at home in Indiana with her husband and two children, where you can find her lifting weights, reading copiously, hanging out with her family, and thanking her lucky stars.
